The population of Nagaland, projected to reach 2.279 million by 2025, is increasingly burdened with non-communicable diseases such as diabetes and heart disease. In addition to a concerning rise in diabetes cases, recent data shows that the state has a high prevalence of hypertension, one of the main risk factors for heart disease.
